Intro

Hello! My name is Trevor Yap Hong Eng.

Currently, I am a PhD student in SPMS of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) under Thomas Peyrin and Shivam Bhasin. I am also working in SYLLAB and PACE lab of Temasek lab. Previously, I completed Bachelor in Science (Mathematics) with Honors in National University of Singapore.

My research interest is in Deep learning and Cryptography. You can view my Github for my works.

Work Experience

2021 - Present:

Research Assistant

Currently, working with people in PACE lab of NTU Temasek lab and SYLLAB on projects with related to Cryptography and Deep learning amd pursuing my PhD under Thomas Peyrin and Shivam Bhasin.

2020:

Research Intern

In NTU, the job scope is to understand various block cipher attacks such as the classical cryptanalysis, differential fault attack (DFA) and the current state-of-the-art in the current research field such as ExpFault frameworks I have even programmed a code on DFA onto the two block ciphers, AES and GIFT.

2019:

Research Intern in Defense Science Organisation (DSO).

Understand and code cryptography algorithms such as Berlekamp Massey algorithm and Weidermann algorithm. The program that I code these two algorithm are in C++. I have also given a presentation on it at the end of the internship.

2018:

Teaching Assistant

Conduct tutorials and teach python programming methodology.Mark codes of students work.

Researching on Cryptography and Deep learning related topics

2016-2020:

Mathematics| Bachelor's Degree (Honors) and Minor in Computer Science.

My interest was to study abstract algebra and analysis. My final year project is to understand Coxeter Groups and how it is related to Kazhdan–Lusztig representations.
